The Annual Meeting of Greate Bay Villas Condominium Owners and the Board of Directors of the Association will be held on September 14, 2019 at 9:00 am, held at the Greate bay Country Club.
Board Members Bob Marshall, Tom Dill, Jeanne Crevina and Guy Lanni meet on July 27th with Sean McGuigan Somers Point Official to discuss the subject of the Holly Hills entrance road resurfacing.

Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee
The Greate Bay Association Board approved several named Owners for Participation on the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee (ADR), which is the NJ State mandated process for allowing condo owners to avoid litigation in disputes with the Board and/or other owners.

New Board Member
The Greate Bay Association Board of Directors interviewed Jeanne Crevina (Unit 66) for the open Board seat vacated by the resignation of Nancy Woodward. After a motion and second, Jeanne Crevina was unanimously approved for the open unexpired one year term. Jeanne comes to us having an impressive background of serving on condo boards and also being the president of a board in North Jesey. We welcome Jeanne and believe she will be a great addition.

There will be a work session meeting of the Greate Bay Villas Condo Association Board of Directors at 8:00 am at the Greate Bay Club on December 6. Owners are excluded for approximately the first half hour of the meeting as confidential matters will be discussed, thereafter owners will be invited.

The Board of Directors of Greate Bay Villas Condominium Association is seeking interested owners to serve in the following positions:

Board of Directors-One member to fill one year unexpired term
There is one opening on the Board due to a recent resignation. Please send a letter stating your interest and a resume to PO Box 164, Marmora NJ 08223 or by fax to Burns Property Management at (609) 399-08223. Please provide this information no later than November 30, 2018.

Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee-Six members to serve two-year terms
The Board is seeking six (6) owners to serve for two year terms on the ADR Committee.
As required by state law, the ADR Committee serves to resolve housing-related disputes between individual owners and the Association, and between unit owners, and be readily available as an alternative to litigation to resolve such disputes.
ADR Committee members do not have authority to modify or amend any condominium regulations or policy in existence, and will hear unit owner complaints concerning violations of the Association rules and regulations and make final rulings based on evidence presented to them. The ADR Committee will determine if a violation has occurred and actions that unit owners need to take to rectify the situation in question.
Please reply by sending a letter stating your interest in serving on the ADR Committee to PO Box 164, Marmora NJ 08223 or by fax to Burns Property Management at (609) 399-08223. Please provide this information no later than November 30, 2018.

The Greate Bay Villas Board of Directors will meet for a business session at 8 AM Wednesday October 24. This meeting is Board members only and will include discussion of:

Appointment of 3 new members to the board to fill the posts of members who have resigned either for health, schedule conflict or other reasons.

Discussion of the recent “walk around” and conditions found during that exercise which either need remediation or elimination as regards compliance with the By-Laws and Master Deed or correction of physical condition(s).

Discussion of items needing clarification of accepted practice in regard to the Association providing services and rules governing the appearance of the community

The following are dates and times representing the 2018/19 schedule of Greate Bay Condo Association Board and Owner Meetings. Except for the Annual Meeting on September 14, 2019, all meetings will be held at 5PM for Board Members and 6PM for Owners. The Annual Meeting will be held for both Owners and Board Members at 9AM. All meetings are currently scheduled to take place at the Great Bay Club.

Trimming of Shrubs and Bushes around individual Villas will be conducted by Forever Green the week of October 15th.

Greate Bay Drive will be closed near the entrance to the Greate Bay Country Club for several days beginning the morning of September 24th due to work taking place to remedy drainage issues for nearby Villas. Owners please exercise patience and choose access and egress routes accordingly.

“Good morning fellow owners, Board of Directors, Bill Burns and staff at Burns Property Management:
Please allow this communication to serve as notice of my retirement from the Greate Bay Villas Board of Directors effective 09/20/2018.
It has been my distinct honor to serve my fellow owners at Greate Bay Villas as a director for these past 20+ years. Thank you for that opportunity which you have afforded me. I hope that I represented you well.
As many of you are aware, I am very involved in a mission of Sight-Conservation for the Blind and Visually-impaired by helping those individuals less-fortunate. Through my volunteerism at the John D Young Memorial Lions Blind Center in Absecon and The Eye Bank of Delaware Valley in Philadelphia, I am able to continue to fulfill my mission through assisting the blind and visually-impaired at the Blind Center which we built twelve years ago and restoring sight to those in need through corneal transplantation at the Eye Bank.
